Dhol player availability: why it is first come, first served
Last updated 30 October 2026
Each team has a fixed number of players, and dates are held in the order deposits are paid. Once a team is full it cannot take more unless the timings work.
How it works
A team with eight players can fill eight places in a day, however popular your date is. Until your deposit is paid, your date is not held.
Several events a day
Players often plan their day weeks ahead and do a baraat, an entrance and a set in different places. A few minutes either way can decide whether they can fit you in.
If your team is full
Tell us. We can look at other teams or move a slot. Shifting a set by an hour sometimes brings a full team back into play.
What to do
Enquire early for peak Saturdays, send the venue and running order, and be flexible on timings where you can.
